At this point, I am not interested in the political race. I have invested too much time caring about it, and now, I feel like everything that I thought I knew was right. I was wrong as hell.

The new "tax-relief" that our new President to be is talking about are not even tax cuts at all. I'm going to take a common conservative standpoint on the issue and tell you what I think. Arguments are welcome.

I am all for getting some cash back at the end of the year. I pay a lot of taxes, and it's nice to see a little relief every now and again. I feel that any tax relief I get is justified by my contributions to the government, and I feel the same way about anyone who pays what they are supposed to.

There is a statistic that I keep hearing about. I do not know how accurate it is, but it seems to be a number that everyone uses, so I'll use it. The stats say that 40% of Americans pay no taxes to the federal government. Barack Obama states that he will give tax relief to 95% of Americans. Shouldn't he be given the relief to 55% of Americans, I mean, considering that the 40 percent that don't pay anything don't really need relief. That's like an OBGYN that promises menstrual relief to dudes. It doesn't make sense to me. How can you cut someone a break on something that they are not part of? Oh, you send them a check. You send them my money. You send them the money that I paid to you. In my book, that's like robbing Peter to pay Paul.

This is what I think about this, and I'll make a loose analogy as tight as I can. Barack Obama is like the modern day Robin Hood (this calls for a photoshop session). He is representing a class of people who want money, but don't really want to do much to get it. I also state this loosely, because I know a lot of the people who don't pay taxes are disabled, under 18, or veterans, but the people to whom I am referencing are the other portion of the 40%, the ones who want something for nothing.

I am so sick of these guys. I can absolutely say that I am not voting for either one of them.
